PSHSA Training Supports Parachute

Parachute is honoured to be a recipient of the newly announced corporate social responsibility initiative from the Public Services Health & Safety Association. Parachute received $10,000, as a 'thank you' to valued clients for choosing PSHSA for Joint Health & Safety Committee certification training.  Also, PSHSA will make additional donations for each person enrolled in certification training from

Journey to MaRS Event

On February 25, Parachute hosted injury prevention experts, social innovation thought leaders, government and other community organizations at the MaRS Discovery District to explore social innovation and how to make communities safer for children. Facilitated by Allyson Hewitt, JW McConnell Family Foundation, Senior Fellow, Social Innovation  at MaRS and supported by Petro-Canada™, the day was a success with more than 40 stakeholders in attendance to collaborate and discuss this issue, especially to start the conversation about how to keep communities, and our roads, safe in Canada.
Parachute Brain Waves 2016 is up and running

Brain Waves is a practical and fun concussion awareness and brain and spinal cord education program now available to elementary school children and their teachers. The program was originally developed for students in grades 4-6; however, the material can be adapted for an older audience.  Teachers, public health workers, and community workers who wish to get involved or learn more about the program can contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Countdown to the 20th Anniversary of Parachute Safe Kids Week

Taking place May 30 - June 5, 2016, plan to take part in this years' national awareness week with a focus on the top injury issues that affect children on the road, at home and at play. The topics addressed include: At Home- Falls; At Play - Concussions; On the Road - Motor Vehicle Occupants, Pedestrians, and Bicycles/Wheeled Activities.
