Hosted two major galas, in 2015 and 2017 that, collectively, raised $2 million. At the 2017 gala, Parachute honoured the Rt. Hon. David Johnston, with the inaugural Dr. Charles Tator Parachute Safety Award.
Partnered in 2016 with Bell Media, which donated airtime for Parachute’s Stop the Clock and Concussion commercials extensively across all their channels, including primetime airing over a 12-months period of these public service announcements. This resulted in an unprecedented extension of Parachute’s message reach, adding an estimated 750 million impressions across Canada for the duration of the campaign (2016 into 2017).
Organized and ran two successful and influential Parachute Zero Vision Summits in 2016 and 2017 that brought together road safety experts, advocates and municipal representatives from across the country.
Most significantly, Parachute has brought together a direct injury-prevention Canadian network of 8,000 constituents, including 68 Designated Safe Communities, brain education and road safety partners, sporting organizations, concussion specialists, and partners from government, corporations, foundations, education, and health care.
