I ThinkFirst! Contest 2016-2017

We want to hear from kids about how they think first to prevent injury!

Send us your creative projects and you could win exciting prizes! The top 3 winning classrooms receive a classroom set of helmets and a $500 gift card to Scholar's Choice, and the top 5 individual winners will receive a $200 gift card to a sporting goods store!

Contest Details

Thanks to support from TD Bank, Parachute is able to bring you an opportunity to use the TD ThinkFirst for Kids curriculum in a fun and creative way. Students in grades K-8 from across Canada are invited to submit creative art projects, explaining in their own words why and how they “Think First!” to prevent injury when they are active at play, school or at home.

Submissions can include: Photos, paintings, videos, poems, posters, short stories, songs or collages.

The projects will highlight the importance of brain and spinal cord injury prevention and will be featured on the Parachute website, social media channels (Facebook, Twitter etc.), and online publications.

Getting Started

1. To participate in the contest, sign-up here and complete the contest registration form.

2. View the TD I ThinkFirst! Contest Form to learn more about the contest and how to participate.

3. Download the three new tip sheets below based on the TD ThinkFirst for Kids curriculum, to serve as tools to educate kids and families, and participate in the contest!

4. Send us your creative projects from your students telling us how they "Think First!" at school, at home, and on the road to prevent injuries!

2015-2016 Contest

The 2016 I ThinkFirst! Contest proved to be an even greater success this year! Parachute received 199 submissions from student participants from schools across Canada including Ontario and Newfoundland.
